Cruise in Tokyo
Thousands of Asian fans are helping with Tom Cruise's Japanese orientation. He's in their country to shoot his next movie. But, as 'Extra' reports, he took a time-out to promote his most recent one.
It's a rugged Tom in Tokyo, but although this is no clean-cut Cruise, his Japanese fans still love him. Tom was in the city with Steven Spielberg to showcase his futuristic classic, "Minority Report. He said, "Steven and I agreed a year ago with this movie our final trip would be to Tokyo to open the Tokyo film festival."
Though girlfriend Penelope Cruz was nowhere to be seen, Tom told our Jerry Penacoli at the recent premiere of "NARC," which he produced, that she'd be joining him soon in Japan.
Tom's also in this Pacific Rim nation shooting his upcoming
movie,"The Last Samurai." He told his hosts he's fallen in love
with their country. Cruise states, "I'd like to say that I've
just had the most extraordinary experience shooting in your
beautiful country. So thank you very much for that."
Tom's legions of Japanese fans are delighted to have him.
