Christina Aguilera
It's Christina Aguilera "stripped" down to the bare bones. But underneath her shocking new video lie the confessions of a pop star. She says, "This is the real me that people are seeing."
She talked to "Extra" about everything from domestic violence in her family to a war with Eminem, and of course her raunchy and controversial "Dirrty" video. She says, "I felt caged in or locked up. Everyone categorized me into that whole teen, kitschy, cookie cutter, play it safe … which was creatively stifling to me."
The 21-year-old says the people criticizing her now wouldn't blink if "Dirrty" were a Ricky Martin video. She says, "But a girl comes out and does it and there's a million names to call her for that."
So what did Christina’s mom say when she saw the video? Christina says, "My mom loved it!"
Christina revealed even more on the cover of Rolling Stone, wearing only boots and bracelets. She says, "I think it’s great! I think the female body is something to be proud of, not to be ashamed of."
Christina admits her new album, "Stripped," helped her deal with her breakup from dancer Jorge Santos and a bad relationship with her father who she claims was abusive to her mother. She's also kissed and made up with Eminem at the MTV Video Music Awards. The rapper took a shot at her in his song, "The Real Slim Shady." Christina says, "The whole thing that happened before was blown out of proportion, and we just got to talk about it, clear things up, and ended in a hug and that's that."
And what about the rumors she's hooking up with Britney’s former beau? Christina says, "He's a cool friend who knows how to party. Nothing romantic there. Sorry to disappoint."
Don't worry Christina, your new album won't disappoint your fans.
