Remote Patrol
NBC's smart, sexy medical examiner is about to turn up the tempo. Jill Hennessey takes to the stage for tonight's episode of "Crossing Jordan," and "Extra" got a sneak peek at last minute rehearsals.
Hennessey explains, "Jordan's father has a bar that hasn't been doing well. So he hires this band and then requests that I get up and sing a song."
Hitting the high notes with the Tom Waits tune is no stretch for the Canadian beauty.
When she first moved to New York, she literally sang for her supper. She says, "I started playing in subways."
Even "Jerry Maguire’s" Jerry O'Connell, who plays detective Woody Hoyt, strikes a chord, kind of. He says, "I'm probably the best drunken karaoke singer there is out there."
But will Woody finally make sweet music with Jordan this season? O’Connell says, "I think my character is going to get a little something something."
Meanwhile, Fox TV has hooked a hot new series. They're primetime's hottest new legal eagles, re-writing the rules of the old boys club.
Former "Beverly Hills 90210" sex kitten Kathleen Robertson stars with "Sweet and Lowdown's" Gretchen Mol, and "That 80's Show" alum Chyler Leigh in "girls club." It’s about three young Golden Gate lawyers whose real education begins after law school.
"girls club" is the latest courtroom caper from lawyer-turned-hit-TV-show-creator David E. Kelley. Chyler says, "He's an amazing writer, so I’m very happy."
