Tom Cruise in Japan

Welcomed by screaming fans, Tom Cruise landed in the rain at Osaka, Japan Tuesday where he begins filming his upcoming movie, "The Last Samurai."

During a press conference Cruise told Japanese reporters that being a part of this 19th century epic is a dream come true. He said, "I hope we make a great picture."

It won't be all work and no play for Tom. He says Penelope will be joining him soon. And he hopes his latest project will make the people of Japan proud. He said, "I've always had a deep respect for the Japanese, and a strong feel for this culture and the Japanese people."
