Sharon Stone is back in action. Her husband, Phil Bronstein, says the actress is going to make a full recovery after a scare with minor bleeding in her head. He says, “She's felt better in her life I’m sure. In terms of medically, she's terrific.”

The “Basic Instinct” star is ready to get back to work. The trade magazine Variety reports the actress is set to star as silver screen legend Lana Turner. Turner's perfect figure and sultry voice made her a star in movies like “Peyton Place” and “The Postman Always Rings Twice.”
The film Stone will star in is titled "Stompanato” and will focus on Lana’s tumultuous relationship with hoodlum Johnny Stompanato and his mysterious murder by Lana’s daughter back in 1958.
Hollywood columnist Jim Bacon is the only reporter to get inside Lana’s home the night Stompanato was murdered. He says, “I got upstairs to the bedroom and there was Stompanato’s body lying on the floor with a big hole in it.”
Bacon believes Stone will be perfect for the dramatic role, playing vixen and victim.
He says Stompanato used to beat Lana, but the gangster met his match on a London movie set when Lana was starring with an up and coming tough guy named Sean Connery. Bacon says, “Sean Connery, who was unknown at the time, beat up Stompanato.”
While the deal's not done yet, the story of this screen siren could be another stepping stone for Hollywood’s favorite femme fatale. Word is producers are in talks with Antonio Banderas about the role of Johnny Stompanato. So far, nothing's been decided.
