Pets and Their Celebrities
Monday October 22, 2001

Pam Anderson pampers pet pal Foo, Bo Derek raises rascals on her ranch, and November’s Playboy cover girl Angelica Bridges sleeps with Sebastian. No doubt pets bring out the best in people and even celebrities who live in the high stakes, high stress world of Hollywood find comfort in the arms of their furry friends.

Photographer Christopher Ameruoso captures an angle the public never sees in his debut book “Pets and Their Celebrities.” He says, “How they act with their animals and the compassion and love between both of them is just amazing."

Angelica Bridges says, “But really this is where my heart is. Coming home, being with my animals."

The same goes for Kate Hudson and Nana, Janeane Garofalo and her dog Dew, and Kristen Johnston and Pablo. They are all among the 80 stars that cuddled their beasts and even shared four legged secrets with Ameruoso. Christopher says, “Faith Ford does a salmon skin dinner that she cooks for her dog."

Ameruoso started the book two and a half years ago with a portion of the profits going to L.A.'s Last Chance for Animals rescue project. He says he had no problem persuading the stars to pose with their best friends.
