VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards
Monday October 22, 2001

She's back! Supermodel Nikki Taylor received a standing ovation Friday night at the “VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards” in New York. In her first public appearance since the May car crash that left her in a coma, Taylor presented Josh Hartnett with the “Fresh Face” award.

It was a night when Sean “Puffy” Combs won “Sharp Dressed Man,” Rene Zellweger snagged the “Red Carpet” award, and Sarah Jessica Parker from “Sex and the City” accepted the honors for “Best Dressed Show.” Parker said of the show’s award, “In honoring our show, I like to think you're honoring our city of New York.”

No one's been spreading the message that New York is back more than Mayor Giuliani, who got a standing ovation before introducing designers who fuel New York’s thriving fashion industry.
