Aaliyah's New Video

The images are haunting and the music is mesmerizing. It's the music video Aaliyah was making in the Bahamas before the tragic plane crash which killed the young star who was poised to ride a huge wave of success.

Just hours after finishing this shoot, she raced to catch the doomed flight that took her life along with eight others. While the crash of the twin engine aircraft is still under investigation, the plane was reportedly far too overloaded with passengers and equipment, and the pilot was not certified to fly that particular Cessna.
Perhaps the most eerie image in the video, which has just been released, is the final shot. It shows the young woman floating in the water, and then rising into a bright white light. There's no music, only silence. A parting shot in a life and career cut all too short.
