'Third Watch' Premiere
Monday October 15, 2001

The type of action that you're used to seeing on the TV drama "Third Watch" is paramedics, police officers, and firefighters risking their lives to save others. However, for tonight's season premiere there will be no acting, no sets, and no escape from the tragedy of September 11th.

Skipp Sudduth who plays “Sully” on the show says, “If they're coming to ‘Third Watch’ to escape reality, they're opening the wrong door."

Sudduth tells “Extra” you won't see his character on tonight's show. Instead, real-life heroes will share their emotional experiences from September 11th.

“Third Watch” films in New York, so the crew was deeply touched by the tragedy. After the attacks, shooting stopped and the show's generators were donated to the rescue teams. The actors visited police and fire stations to boost morale.

Tonight's special two-hour version of "Third Watch" airs on NBC at 8:00 PM.
