She's the smart, sexy, and sassy crime scene investigator from the little show that could and did go through the ratings roof: “CSI.” Marg Helgenberger says, “Yeah, going from the underdog to the top dog in one small season."

But for Marg, there was no bigger career surprise than on Emmy nomination day when she was the only cast member given a nod. She says, “My publicist called me and the first thing out of my mouth was, ‘was the show nominated?’ And he said, no it wasn't and I was just a little bummed out about that, because I thought the show really deserved it."
