Clinton Honored
Wednesday October 3, 2001

Normally, when A-list stars like Kristin Davis, Ted Danson, Jeff Goldblum, and Lea Thompson get together, it's for some Hollywood event, but last night, they got together to honor a visibly moved President Clinton for his work on the environment. The celebs are used to being gushed over, but on this night, they were star struck themselves.

Lea Thompson said, “I've never seen him in real life. I admire him. I'm very excited about this."

Of course the terrorist attacks were on everyone's mind and everyone had a recipe for moving on. Ted Danson said, “I think it makes you feel safe inside your body to do the things you did before. Reach out, nurture others, take care of others."

Gary Busey takes the more macho approach to healing. He said, “Fear. F-e-a-r. That stands for false evidence appearing real. I don't have fear in me."

But President Clinton brought the house down with his take on the attacks. He said, “No strategy of terror alone has ever defeated any country in human history, and it certainly will not defeat the greatest country in human history."
