'Duplex'
Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore team up for big laughs in director Danny De Vito's new film "Duplex." It is the delightfully dark story of a couple desperate to land their dream home, if they can somehow rid the premises of a tough old tenant played by Eileen Essel.
How was the chemistry between Ben and Drew? "Extra" got the "Duplex" scoop straight from the stars. Barrymore says, "Working with Ben was such a great pleasure for me. He is really funny. He comes up with great adlibs and improvisations that you are not expecting."
Stiller adds, "She is so up and bubbly, and I'm not quite as up and bubbly. I feel up and bubbly now. This is about as up and as bubbly as I get. But she really bubbles me up."
And there were plenty of bubbles between Danny De Vito and Eileen Essel when they recently reunited in New York. De Vito says, "I knew she took a drink every once in awhile, and I do too. We had a good time."
Essel adds, "I must say this morning I felt rather hung over."
` This weekend, make your dose of "Duplex" a double.
