Scarface Premiere
In New York Wednesday night, stars Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer reunited with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Steven Bauer, and Robert Loggia to celebrate the re-release of their landmark film in theaters and on DVD.
Pacino says, "Scarface is always the feedback that is the one people wanted to talk about. That was the one they saw a few times, and that was one the one they wanted me to quote from."
Critics took their own shots at "Scarface" back in 1983. But the powerful performances created a classic, and now the movie is being embraced by a new generation. Pfeiffer says, "It's always these young guys who come up to me and say they have seen it 200 times, and they quote Tony Montana."
Bauer adds, "It's so satisfying because it legitimizing what we already knew."
You can say hello to an old friend when "Scarface" comes out on DVD September 30th with unreleased scenes and returns to theaters in major cities this weekend.
