Victor Garber
Sydney's super spy dad, Victor Garber, is today's special delivery, stopping by Hollywood and Highland to show off his serious new movie and talk Emmys. Not only is Garber nominated for an Emmy this year, but so is his co-star Jennifer Garner. Garber says, "It’s a family affair. It’s Jennifer Garner, Lena Olin, and Papa, me."
Garber’s new film, "Homeroom," comes out Friday and deals with the very serious topic of school violence. Garber says, "It’s a very interesting film that I wouldn’t have gotten involved with except that I read the script and thought it was so interesting. The way it sort of deals with the aftermath of something so horrendous in our society and how we're all looking for answers and how we're looking for easy answers and how they aren’t there."
In addition to Garber, the film stars Erica Christiansen and Busy Phillips. Garber says, "They were astonishing. I mean I couldn’t believe how they are really demanding roles, really emotional and comprehensive characters and they were fantastic."
When "Alias" premiers in a couple of weeks, fans will find Garber in a spot much different than on the season finale. Two years have passed and suddenly everyone is two years into the future.
Garber says, "I can give you a little insight. Basically Sydney wakes up and it’s two years later. She doesn’t know what happened and then we pick up and the first episode of the new season starts with that. Basically if you've never seen ‘Alias’ its a great time to tune in because it sort of starts from the beginning."
