She just may be the most popular girl in Hollywood's class of 2003. And now the "2 Fast 2 Furious" rise to fame of Eva Mendes gathers even more speed in "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," the latest of four movies the 29-year-old actress will be seen in just this year alone.
She says, "I’ve certainly never worked like this before."
This time around, the Latin beauty, who got her first screen kiss from Denzel Washington in "Training Day," finds herself in the company of yet more famed heartthrobs; namely Antonio Banderas, Enrique Iglesias, and Johnny Depp. Eva says her character "is a desperate little girl trying to make her dad happy."
Eva becomes a secret agent in the surreal thriller, which also stars the sexy Salma Hayek. Salma says, "All the characters are so weird and so strange."
But according to Eva, no more weird and strange than the one she plays in her next movie, "Stuck On You." Eva says she plays "an aspiring actress with really, really huge, fake boobs."
Along with two real ones played by Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. Eva says, "It’s hilarious."
And with still one more flick to come after that, Eva should be laughing all the way to the bank.
