Brooke Shields
They are the glowing images of a mother and her newborn child. At 38, Brooke Shields has found her best role yet—mom to 3 1/2-month-old daughter Rowan Francis Henchy.
In February, a beaming Brooke broke the baby news to "Extra." But at the time, no one could have imagined the effort it took Brooke and her husband, TV producer Chris Henchy, to finally achieve their dream.
For the upcoming issue of People magazine, Brooke invited Senior Editor Todd Gold into her home nursery and shared the struggle she and Chris went through to have a family of their own. After suffering a miscarriage and undergoing seven in vitro treatments, Gold says Brooke is focusing on her new role.
Todd says, "They stare at this baby and they marvel and they appreciate every moment of her existence in their life. Brooke is a real mom. She doesn’t have help full time and you know she’s raising her child."
"Extra" caught up with the proud pop on the set of his other new baby, "I'm With Her," an ABC new fall sitcom about a man married to a celebrity. Chris is just as excited and involved in his new daughter as his wife. He says, "Oh the baby is fantastic. I probably have spittle here."
People magazine hits stands on Friday.
