Emmy Fashions
Terrific tresses and dynamite dresses, Hollywood's biggest stars stepped out in style at the Emmy’s Sunday night. And we're already seeing imitations of the big hits for a fraction of the cost!
Angela Bassett’s beautiful floral gown is just one of the many hits designers are dying to re-do. And in less than 48 hours, ABS designer Allen Schwartz has created look-alikes of his five top picks worn by Debra Messing, Oprah Winfrey, Kristen Davis, Jennifer Anniston, and Jennifer Garner. Schwartz says, "I thought they were fresh and different. I thought they were wearable and each one significantly different than the other."
Schwartz says his copycat creations are also different because they're made for everyday folks. He says, "I think my dresses are better because the fabrics are more durable. The fit is definitely better."
But will these styles survive? Women’s Wear Daily's Merle Ginsberg says Hollywood glamour never goes out of style, and believes the Emmy designs will set the trend for the entire awards season.
But you don't have to shell out $5,000 - $25,000 for the designer duds, try one of Schwartz’s look-alikes for about $300. They're coming soon to a store near you.
