Cedric the Entertainer
Cedric the Entertainer is like a super cool secret agent; the man shakes it and stirs it up. His new half hour ride jumps into action this fall on Fox, with Cedric breaking the mold by flashing back to the comedy variety shows of the 50's and 60's.
Cedric tells "Extra," "I loved Carol Burnett, and that's really where I kind of got this idea from."
Cedric is aiming to be a hybrid mix of comedy classics like Flip Wilson and the legendary Jackie Gleason. Cedric says, "He was always smooth and debonair and light on his feet for a big fella. And I’ll be representing all the big dogs."
This veritable smorgasbord of comedy is tailor made for the man who toasted national notoriety on those famous Budweiser ads, a role as one of the "Original Kings of Comedy," and starring in two summer movies: "Barbershop" and "Serving Sara."
Along with sketch comedy, music, and celebrity guests on his new show, brace yourself for Cedric the dancing machine. He says, "I do it for the love, the love of the dance."
