Colin Farrell

In "Phone Booth," some psycho serial killer has got Colin Farrell’s number, and hangs him up big time by framing him for a murder committed by the anonymous caller who's been watching him. Colin says, "I was in a constant state of panic and my nerves were like this for 12 days."

No wonder, the Irish heartthrob is on screen practically every frame of the small-budget Joel Schumacher film, the same director responsible for Farrell’s breakout performance in "Tigerland." Schumacher says, "After the studio saw Colin in ‘Tigerland’ they said I could make it with him."

Colin won the role over some big names - Jim Carrey and Mel Gibson had been dialed in at various times to play the lying PR flack Stuart Shepard, who's life changes with one little phone call. Farrell says, "I heard a load of names between directors and actors, and for whatever reason it didn't happen. But I’m glad cause I got the chance to do it."

After this summer's blockbuster role opposite Tom Cruise in "Minority Report" and major magazine covers like Vanity Fair, the hard drinking, smoking and cursing Colin, who still lives at home with his family in Ireland, insists he's not a star. He says, "Most of the movies I’ve done have tanked so still nobody knows me. Honest to God, nobody knows who the I am still."

That is changing fast. Colin’s next seen in the Ben Affleck/Jennifer Garner blockbuster, "Daredevil." And Colin clears up the rumors flying on the Internet about being next up to play the caped crusader, Batman. He says, "No, you're talking to wrong cowboy. I have no idea. I think that's internet fodder."

Seems with Colin Farrell, there are no hang-ups.
