She's a rocker with outrageous style. And with her over-the-top tees and pants that push the envelope, there is "No Doubt" Gwen Stefani has a passion for fashion. But at the 2002 Christian Dior fashion show in Paris, Gwen said, "I'm real ignorant to the whole fashion world. I don’t know much about it."
It was at that fashion show when the recording star caused a raucous. CEO Tim Schifter recalls, "Just before the show began, flashbulbs went off and the paparazzi started going crazy. At that moment I really understood what star power she had."
The show convinced Schifter that the sexy style icon would be the perfect partner for LeSportsac bags. Tim says, "We started talking and she was thrilled that we asked her to be our next guest designer."
Using lyrics from her songs and metal hardware, leather trim, and sequins, Gwen created a bag that is Paris meets punk. Her bags are now gracing the shoulders of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Halle Berry was seen sporting Gwen’s LeSportsac bag just two weeks ago.
Tim says, "She is creative, just full of ideas, and really has a sense of what her fans want."
And bags are not the only designs in her future; Gwen is also busy creating her own clothing line, called L.A.M.B.
And she revealed that she's creating clothes for a very special audience. She says, "Me, it’s going to be geared just toward me. It’s a very selfish line."
