'Karen Sisco'
She's been busy saving the world and raising those precocious "Spy Kids." But now Carla Gugino is working on saving South Beach in her new TV show, "Karen Sisco."
Stepping into the role Jennifer Lopez played in "Out Of Sight," Carla is ready to make the movie come alive on the small screen. She says, "I think they did such a great job with that movie. I think it's just really strong material and I feel like we can even get better and better with it."
But the role did require a lot of physical work for Carla. She says, "I did have to go to shooting practice and they put up the person's image. I ended up being an incredible shot. I was like getting all the things in the chest. I don't know what happened. But you know I was channeling my character I guess."
Speaking of characters, will Carla get another shot at playing the super sleuth matriarch after this summer's "Spy Kids 3?" She says, "No. First of all, it's called ‘Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.’ I feel like I’ve had a level of completion with it. It's been such a great experience, but it goes out with a bang for sure."
And there promises to be plenty of bang in "Karen Sisco," this fall on ABC.
