"Extra" was up at the crack of dawn along with "Idol" front man Ryan Seacrest for "Idol's" first batch of tryouts held on Sunday at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
Thousands filled the stadium parking lot for a shot at being the next Kelly Clarkson or Ruben Studdard.
You won't hear what Randy, Paula, and Simon think about this
batch until the third season of "Idol" premieres in
January. But "Extra" caught up with Mr. Cowell in
London where he offered this advice to would-be contestants.
He says,"Be original, dress-up, and be prepared for advice."
