'The Sopranos'
They've been missing so long, you’d think America’s favorite crime family joined the Witness Protection Program. After a year-and-a-half long hiatus, "The Sopranos" are finally back for their long awaited fourth.
"Extra" caught up with "Soprano" shrink Lorraine Bracco in New York this week where fans lined the streets to pick up the new DVD collection of the "Sopranos" third season. But she kept a code of silence when we asked for some season four secrets.
"The Sopranos" creator David Chase wouldn't sing either, but did reveal, "Last year to me was really about Tony and Carmelo as parents. This year I think is really more about them as a couple."
But Entertainment Weekly's senior editor Jamie Bufalino says you will still see wise guys and wiretaps, and a major mob hit. He says, "One thing David Chase is not afraid to do is get rid of a major cast member. You definitely see someone meet an untimely end."
Bufalino says unlike most network shows, the lengthy time away has actually helped, not hurt, the critically acclaimed series. He says, "It's actually increased awareness and people are desperate to see the next episode."
