Her face and figure are known all over the world, strutting her stuff and their lingerie as one of biggest faces in the major leagues of fashion. "If you're a Victoria's Secret mode, it means you've made it," says Victoria Secret supermodel Tyra Banks.
Tyra’s latest assignment for Victoria's Secret is leading its grand opening at the Los Angeles Beverly Center, helping to push the new line of Vintage Lingerie. Tyra recently told "Extra," "What it is, is real vintage pieces inspired from the 20's, 30's, and 40's. And it's priced up to $1,000, so this is the elite, and they're all one of a kind."
More than 200 original lingerie pieces make up this new line, available only in Los Angeles and New York.
You can also look for Tyra and the other supermodels from Victoria's Secret to grace the runways again this fall in the company's latest primetime network fashion show. But some critics say the show is "too hot for TV," complaining it's inappropriate and done in bad taste. Tyra says, "I'm sorry, on network TV in the daytime, with soap opera people getting busy with no clothes on, and here we are just walking up and down the runway. It's simple. It's innocent."
Tyra adds the shows are tasteful and the models are in control, and never feel degraded. She says, "I only wear what I’m comfortable in. You'll never see my butt just open on that runway."
