Blender's Rising Stars

From Ashanti to Michelle Branch and Mandy Moore, a new wave of foxy female artists is making the charts their home. Now, "Extra" has Blender magazine's top-ten rising starlets.

Blending into the mix is 18-year-old Mandy Moore. She starred in "A Walk To Remember" on the big screen, she hangs with the Osbourne kids, and dreams of a duet with Eminem. Blender's editor-in-chief Andy Pemberton says Mandy has fans wanting more. He says, "I think she's going to be a massive star."

Ashanti is not just making good music - she's making history. The R&B princess is the first soloist to have three singles in the Billboard top ten consecutively, a feat pulled off only once before by the Beatles.

With Bond girl looks and a body to die for, Paulina Rubio is red hot. The Latin superstar sold 20 million albums in her native Mexico, and her album "Border Girl" is a borderline sensation.

It wasn't complicated for fresh-faced Avril Lavigne to make the list. There’s no doubt why Madonna's young discovery is being called the next Gwen Stefani.

Another kid rocker, 21-year-old Vanessa Carlton, is also one of Blender's favorites and copes with her new found fame by keeping in touch with her canine.

Stick around to see which of these sexy singers will be top dog on the charts.
