Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is back in action and this time her daredevil Lara Croft is really flirting with disaster. She says, "It's like kind of doing a film, but it's kind of like being on a dangerous adventure."
"Extra" has a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of Jolie at her toughest. Jolie says, "For this film we tried to find different skills or weapons that are as fierce as they are elegant."
And how did Angelina get so fierce? She trained six days a week for three months in everything from weaponry to martial arts. She even trained on the trapeze. For one stunt, Angelina was hoisted up a 100-foot sheer cliff for a death-defying plunge. She says, "That was one of the more exciting days on the film because I love heights. You can put me anywhere high and I'm happy."
Jolie reveals the inspiration for the hair-raising stunt came straight from the big top. She says, "The stunt coordinators went to see Cirque du Soliel and saw this attempted, so they thought maybe we'll bring it to like a really sharp cliff and drop them on their face."
But that's not the only trip Angelina took. The original "Tomb Raider" took Croft to the jungles of Southeast Asia. This time for the sequel, "The Cradle of Life," Jolie traveled the globe. She says, "We've been to Greece. We've been to Tanzania. We've been to Hong Kong, which is amazing."
And Angelina promises the fans will also be amazed with her latest adventure. She says, "It's sexier and it's smarter. The fights are more epic. Everything is bigger."
Get in on the action when "Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" hits theaters July 25th.
