'Pirates of the Caribbean'
Ghost stories come alive Wednesday when "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" sails into theaters nationwide.
Orlando Bloom blossoms as hunky hero Will Turner. But how does he feel about being a heartthrob? He say, "I'm flattered and stuff, but it's not what I’m about."
Bloom burst onto the big screen and into girls' hearts as the
handsome elf Legolas in "The Lord of the Rings" movie
trilogy. With "Pirates," this dashing actor's leading
man ship will soon come in. Orlando says, "Johnny '21 Jump
Street' and that put him into heartthrob status and he can go
and do what he wants."
Leading pirate Johnny Depp takes a stab at the role of raucous Jack Sparrow. For Johnny, this whole Hollywood heartbreaker routine is nothing new, but it was never the plan. He says, "I never wanted to be the sort of romantic kind of lead. I just never thought I’d be any good at it."
The newest and sexiest seafarer is 18-year old Keira Knightley,
who can also be seen on the August issue of Elle magazine. But
this "Bend It Like Beckham" beauty says she's been
miscast as Elizabeth Swann. She says, "They keep making
me into these kind of action women. The idea of me being an
action woman is ridiculous." |
