'Trading Spaces'
Surprise is a tool of their trade as they build dreams and make wishes come true for lucky homeowners across America. They're the home improvement gang of "Trading Spaces," the smash hit Learning Channel series that helps neighbors renovate problem rooms in each other's houses.
But in the process of making over beds, baths, and beyond, this band of traveling miracle workers have unwittingly been transformed into unlikely heartthrobs and stars themselves. Beautiful host Paige Davis says, "And I guess that has taken a lot of us by surprise."
Davis isn't the only cast member suddenly being mobbed by adoring fans. Hunky resident carpenter Ty Pennington has just been named one of America’s 50 Most Eligible Bachelors by People magazine. Ty is actually getting ambushed by love struck women. He says, "I go outside and there's this girl in a wedding dress and a big sign that says, ‘Will you marry me?’"
The same thing has been happening to handsome designer Doug Wilson. He says, "I never thought that I would be a rock type star here on ‘Trading Spaces.’"
And vivacious designer and decorator Genevieve Gorder has turned into a kind of "it girl." She says, "Now all of a sudden people like cry or scream or like hug you, random strangers."
But hey, there's a lot of young men and women out there who'd be happy to "trade spaces" with them.
