Kelsey Grammer

Thursday in Los Angeles, Kelsey Grammer got his 9th nomination for his role on the NBC hit, "Frasier." "Extra" spoke with Kelsey at his Malibu estate where he revealed the secret behind Frasier's successful nine-year run. Kelsey says, "The group of people that surrounds the show. I think that's what makes the work great."

But Kelsey is not worried about his competition. He knows he's not going to win. He says, "The days of me winning these things are behind me. It seems like forever that I actually won one of these."

Over the years, Grammer has grabbed three Emmys. But his real prize is his third daughter, nine-month-old Mason Olivia. Grammer's TV family is still going strong, but he admits when he's finished with "Frasier," he's finished with television. He says, "We've done something quite remarkable and maybe I should just let it go at that."
