Margaret Cho
For years, comedienne Margaret Cho has delivered stand-up laughs to sold out crowds. Her new film, "Notorious C.H.O.," which opens this weekend, was filmed during one of her concerts. She says, "Now I just show the movie, it's so much easier. I don't have to go there."
Which is easy to understand once she showed us her colorful 1920's style home in southern California. Each room of this cosmic sanctuary is a different hue. Instead of going to an interior decorator, Margaret went to a clothing stylist for help.
The house reflects Margaret's Asian heritage and her love for religious artifacts, like Ganesha, the Indian elephant god who helps remove obstacles. And it's clear Margaret is a risk taker, just look at her ceiling. She says, "What I’m saying is that rugs are not just for floors anymore."
A Feng Shui expert told her the master bedroom looks beautiful, but you'll sleep better in the guest room: a dreamy white chamber. And even though her heavenly hideaway is still a work in progress, Margaret has one small piece of advice on how to make your own home a private paradise. She says, "Don't do it yourself. I know they all tell you to, but don't. It's too much trouble, pay someone."
