Rumor Control: Aisle-bound?
Rumors run rampant in Hollywood, so it's a good thing "Extra" can set the record straight. Today, we separate the facts from the fiction in four top rumors making the rounds.
Rocker Sheryl Crow has been
dating cyclist supreme Lance Armstrong for
a while now, but is the singer engaged to the six-time Tour
de France winner?
That appears to be the case. Word is Armstrong popped the question after winning the race just days ago. And while there's still no ring on her finger, Crow and Armstrong's people are not putting the brakes on the wedding rumors, reportedly not denying them.
Pop sensation Brandy and NBA star Quentin
Richardson are certainly a hot couple -- but are they
engaged?
That's a big yes. People magazine reports that the LA Clippers
star stunned the former "Moesha" star on Tuesday,
presenting Brandy with an 11.5-carat diamond ring worth $1 million.
And, as People's Julie Dam reports, this isn't the first Brandy
bombshell this month: "Last week, Robert Smith, Brandy's
ex, went on the radio and said they were actually never married."
The million-dollar question remains on Broadway: is Justin
Timberlake gearing up to play Elvis Presley?
There was a report that Miramax is producing a musical called "All Shook Up," and Timberlake was said to playing the King. But Justin and Miramax both say it's not happening.
Another rumor that won't stop swirling concerns a possible "Sex
and the City" movie. So will it ever happen?
"Extra" has word straight from HBO chairman and CEO Chris Albrecht: there will definitely not be a "Sex and the City" movie.
