Legal Woes Weigh on Martha Stewart
Martha Stewart may be losing her freedom, but she's also lost quite a few pounds. When comparing pictures of the Domestic Diva taken March 5th, the day of her conviction, and last week at her sentencing, her dramatic weight change is evident.
Sharon Cotlair weighed in on Stewart's changing figure in the new issue of People magazine. "She wasn't able to work out as regularly as she normally did. She was stuck in a courtroom every day." Cotlair revealed, adding that now, "Friends say she's probably lost 15 to 25 pounds from the weight that she put on during the trial."
Stewart told CNN's Larry King about her ordeal, admitting, "It has been devastating, and very, very difficult."
Hamptons magazine columnist R. Courie Hay said the pressure was so intense, that Martha turned to comfort food. "She was cooking but eating what she cooked," Hay told us.
But after the trial, things changed. Stewart started eating
better and was even seen on rollerblades. But another weight
loss challenge awaits the Domestic Diva in prison. "It's
supposed to be a high-carb, high-fat diet," Hay told us.
"She'll be creative with what she finds in the commissary."
