She's the beautiful niece of President George W. Bush, and she's making a name for herself in the fashion world. But now, model Lauren Bush is speaking out about her famous family to Rita Cosby on the FOX News Channel.
"The way my family operates, we don't really have this grand scheme using the family to, like, build up politics," Bush admits in the interview.
And with all the negative press surrounding her uncle, how's her family handling the heat? "I mean, if you're in politics, I think that's kind of to be expected," says Lauren.
Lauren also opens up about her cousins, Jenna and Barbara, telling
Rita they'll be able to handle the campaign trail with their
father. "They're smart and down to earth," Bush insists.
"They're just very real, so I don't think it will affect
them, or be hard on them."
