Bergin Arrested on Anniversary of Bessette-Kennedy's
Death
He's the actor who recently wrote a tell-all
book about his romance with former flame Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy,
and now he may be facing charges.
"Extra" has confirmed that Michael
Bergin was arrested Friday night on suspicion of driving under
the influence of alcohol. The former "Baywatch" star's
arrest occurred on the fifth anniversary of the plane crash
that killed Bessette and her husband, John F. Kennedy, Jr.
Bergin was arrested after he allegedly struck a woman who was
rollerblading across a West Hollywood street. The 35-year-old
actor spent over 10 hours in jail and was released after posting
$50,000 bail.
"Extra" spoke directly to the woman allegedly hit
by Bergin's SUV. The woman, a competitive speed skater, told
us that she has been hospitalized since the accident and must
undergo surgery for her injured leg. |
