'CSI's' New Mystery
A day after America's number one show was nominated for four Emmy Awards, "CSI" said goodbye to two of its stars. So why did the show let George Eads and Jorja Fox go?
"Extra" has learned the two actors wanted to renegotiate their contracts, even though both had two years left on their deals. But TV Guide's Mike Ausiello told us that the network wouldn't cave.
"As I understand it, Jorja and George were making about $100,000 an episode," Ausiello revealed. "I don't know how much they were asking for, but obviously it was significant enough."
Eads and Fox have been with the hit show from day one. Through the years, we've interviewed the actors many times and they've always told us how much they love "CSI." "We all still enjoy doing the show so much," Eads once told us.
So how will their departures affect "CSI?" Ausiello insisted that the show will go on: "I really don't think it's going to impact the show too much. They're going to get two other actors in there who are not going to miss a beat, step up and pick up where the show left off."
