All Hail the Queen
Singer and Oscar-nominated actress Queen Latifah is back and busier than ever. "It's going to be a nice little line of about three or four movies that'll be coming out from September on," Latifah told us.
And the 34-year-old Queen has big news only for "Extra." "It's time for some family action to go on," she said. "I'm not getting any younger, so I’m working on that as well."
Yes, Queen Latifah reveals she wants a little prince or princess in her life. So, is there a potential king for the Queen? "There's a lot of prospects," she said. "That's the problem, too many damn prospects. I've just been running from the rings so long, it doesn’t make any sense."
Latifah also has a new CD coming out in the fall, but right now she's promoting the debut CD being released by CG Vibes, the new charity record label founded by Cover Girl cosmetics. "It's good vibes on this album," she told us. "You got the Donnas, you got Sugar Ray, you got Brandy. But it all meshes together."
Promoting volunteerism and giving back to the community, the outspoken superstar also reveals she'll be watching the upcoming political conventions. So if she could get five minutes with President Bush, what would she say to him? "I would just ask him to focus on the country for a minute. To focus on everyone except the ‘haves and the have mores,’" she said. "And that would go from him to all politicians. So hip-hoppers, go get registered and vote for whoever you want."
