NBC Rolls Out New Lineup
Between Sylvester Stallone, "Joey" and Donald Trump, NBC has plenty of reasons to celebrate this fall. But there was no bigger news at the big NBC event than "Will & Grace's" new addition. Messing sat down with her co-stars, where for the first time she spoke about her 3-month-old son, Roman.
Messing insisted that Roman "loves his new uncles (Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes) very much." So were the "Will & Grace" stars fighting over godfather duty? "No, I knew I had it in the bag," Hayes insisted. "I knew he did too," McCormack added.
But the big hype this fall seems to be Matt LeBlanc's "Friends" spin-off, "Joey," with "The Sopranos'" Drea de Matteo playing Joey's sister. And that's fine by LeBlanc, who admitted to us, "I like to look at it as Drea's show. There's less pressure on me."
NBC Universal President Jeff Zucker claims "Joey" is a sure thing. "This is really the character America loved, back on Thursday nights at 8," he told us. "I'm getting more excited," LeBlanc added. "We're having a lot of laughs."
Meanwhile, veteran TV vixen Heather Locklear will square off with Blair Underwood in the airport drama "LAX."
And Donald Trump's "Apprentice" is back for a second season. But don't think Trump forgot about season one's "Apprentice," Bill Rancic. Rancic told us that Trump has truly taken him under his wing: "You'd be shocked. If I don't see him, he calls me. I get calls on the cell phone. It's remarkable."
But while Trump controls all things "Apprentice," his wedding plans are left to his fiancée, Melania. "Melania's really doing the planning," he revealed. "She's very good at it."
So with the reality, comedy and drama, they'll be plenty to see come fall on Must-See NBC.
