Diet Secrets of the Stars
Lindsay Lohan stays lean by dancing, and Ashanti
eats right and does crunches to stay slim. But Christina Applegate
goes with her own regimen: "I'm on the Christina Diet.
Whatever I feel like eating, I do, and I work out really hard."
There are tons of ways to stay in shape, and now "Extra" investigates how your favorite celebrities keep their fabulous figures.
Stars are pros when it comes to staying slim. But which diet is best? People magazine's Assistant Managing Editor Elizabeth Sporkin told us that their new special issue has the answers on how to look and stay celebrity trim and thin.
"Everybody's on a diet," Sporkin insisted. "And that raises a lot of questions."
One of these big questions -- how do stars get back in tip-top shape after having a baby?
Kate Beckinsale struggled to get her body back post-pregnancy, telling People, "I was a fat woman for a good seven or eight months."
But Heidi Klum kicked off her baby fat by working out, and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Cheryl Hines chose to cut calories after she put on 40 pounds while pregnant. "She doesn't eat after 8 p.m. and if she's hungry she reaches for an apple," Sporkin told us of Hines' diet secrets.
While on "Average Joe," 320-pound Sean Pashley said, "I just started getting fatigued right off the bat."
But today, Pashley is 90 pounds lighter, and he attributes whole food recipes using chicken, fish and eggs to his success. "The great thing about him is he's a chef and designed his own diet," Sporkin revealed. "He still eats enormous portions, he just eats better things."
"I want to be confident," Pashley said. "I want all those great things that come along with being a healthy, fit person, who works out and eats a good diet."
