Philip Michael Thomas
"Miami Vice" was "the" eighties show, with hot bodies, cool clothes, and the cops. Things got rocky when for star Philip Michael Thomas when he started a new career with the Psychic Readers Network, the company that put Miss Cleo on the air.
Before Cleo, Thomas was the face of a psychic phone service. But there was no fortune for Thomas in TV fortune telling, and he came to "Extra" seeking justice. He says, "When I first got involved with this network. I was a multi-millionaire. I had everything you could want from Rolls Royce’s to houses to recording studios."
Attorney Wille Gary says the actor was guaranteed a cut of every dollar callers spent, but didn’t get what was promised. He says, "They basically cheated Philip. They used his good will and his good name and they made a lot of money."
"Extra" helped Thomas fight back. Our Mike Bryant went to company headquarters demanding answers. Now the case has finally been closed and the TV detective has payback. This week an arbitrator awarded Thomas 2.3 million dollars. The company insists it lived up to its agreement, but Philip Michael Thomas believes he finally has justice.
