'The Casino:' Too Sexy For TV?
Tons of flash, millions in cash and girls galore
-- sound familiar? That's right: just another night in Vegas.
Reality TV titan Mark Burnett has turned his hit show gaze
to Sin City, and he's setting up shop right in the heart of
the Golden Nugget Casino.
The new FOX show follows Vegas' youngest casino owners, dot-com moguls Tim Poster and Tom Breitling, who bought the Golden Nugget for $215 million and now attempt to play with Vegas' high rollers.
"Tim and I are taking the biggest gamble of our lives," Breitling admitted.
"These guys did the impossible: from nothing they made
a few hundred million and put it into the casino," Burnett
explained. "Let's assume high rollers come through and
wipe them out -- then what?"
While the odds of these guys going broke are much higher than
you might expect, the odds of seeing the real Sin City in action
not such a safe bet -- FOX is currently making sure "The
Casino" doesn't get too risky for TV. Burnett even had
to leave some scenes on the cutting room floor.
"In terms of sexiness, honestly, if we showed everything
we're shooting, it's way too hot for FOX," Burnett told
us.
The dice start to roll as "The Casino" premieres Monday night on FOX.
