Couples News: Breaks and Brides
We've got breaking news about star engagements
and disengagements news, as love is the buzz that's got Hollywood
humming, today.
Marc Anthony is one step closer
to a divorce and perhaps one step closer to another marriage.
The pop singer and his wife of four years, Dayanara
Torres, filed papers in the Dominican Republic and
a judge there gave the "okay" to the divorce -- but
not before ordering Anthony to pay his ex and two children more
than $16,000 a month.
And according to the upcoming issue of People magazine, Anthony is in love again -- with none other than Jennifer Lopez. The magazine has exclusive photos of the couple looking very cozy. Assistant Managing Editor Peter Castro told us that Lopez has been sporting a big rock on her finger, courtesy of Anthony. But the couple claims it's only a "friendship ring."
"The engagement is not official yet," Castro revealed. "But he's been looking for rings. She grew up in the Bronx. He grew up in Upper Manhattan. They both are musicians. They have a cultural bond."
As for Lopez's ex, Boston papers are reporting that Ben
Affleck has begun dating a woman who works at a Beantown
TV station.
Meanwhile, Bruce Willis and his girlfriend,
Brooke Burns, have decided to call it quits
for now, stating distance as the problem. Burns is currently
in Hawaii shooting the new TV show "North Shore."
"These are people who are almost 3,000 miles apart, it's
almost impossible to sustain a relationship like that,"
Castro observed.
We spoke to Brooke's people who confirmed that distance drove the couple apart.
Jen Perzow is the woman who was reportedly linked to Ethan
Hawke around the time his marriage to Uma Thurman
ended, but who adamantly stated, "I know I haven't
done anything wrong."
But now, Jen and Ethan Hawke are spending time together once again. They were recently seen strolling in Canada where Hawke is shooting a movie. Perzow has always maintained that the two are only friends.
Meg Ryan's ex has found love again. "Extra" learned
that Dennis Quaid popped the question to his
girlfriend, Kimberly Buffington, a Texas real estate agent.
For more details of these couples' love buzz, check out Wednesday's edition of "Extra."
