'Boy Meets Boy'
There is champagne instead of roses and one other small variation from those other dating shows: There are no women.
It's Bravo's "Boy Meets Boy," the first gay dating game. On one side is bachelor James, a human resource specialist, and his cohort and best friend Andra.
On the other side is a houseful of guys vying for James' affection.
And caught in the middle is one bold Brit "Extra's" own Dani Behr. She says, "As you can see he's flawless and perfect and my biggest challenge in life is to turn him straight. But that' s never going to happen."
Actually there's nothing straight about "Boy Meets Boy," except for this twist: Unbeknownst to any of the players, a few of these men are heterosexual. If James ends up picking one, the straight man gets the prize money.
The show is already raising eyebrows, but this crowd welcomes the heat. One contestant says, "It's a glimpse into a lifestyle that's become accepted, but not so well known."
James admits choosing has been tough, but Dani's been his guiding
light. He says, "Dani is phenomenal. She's really shown
me the ropes, helped me deal with all these cameras, and just
make the interactions seem real."
But Behr is not buying it. She says, "James might have been nervous on the first day, now he's like a TV pro."
Watch James get to work finding a mate this July on Bravo. |
