Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres is calling it
quits on the touring circuit, but she isn't taking the summer
off. Extra reveals why she's busy polishing her
jokes and schmoozing the stars.
She's been a stand up superstar and a sitcom
sensation. Now, Ellen DeGeneres is bringing her dry wit back
to TV with a new talk show.
On a break from prepping her upcoming HBO
special, we caught up with the comedienne at the television
industry's NATPE convention in New Orleans, where the funny
lady bowled over the TV bigwigs and filled Extra
in on the format of her new talk show.
Ellen says theres no decision yet
on a sidekick or the set. She jokes, Its not going to
be a desk. We'll be in swings. But Ellen does think
Eminem might make a good bandleader. She chides, He
could just rap, cause he's very talented like that. I mean
that. Don't slam me or write a bad song about me. Im
actually genuinely asking.
With or without Eminem, Ellens new
talk show will be the show everyone's talking about this fall.
