Halle Berry
This week, People magazine is confirming what we already know. On Thursday, the beautiful and talented Halle Berry spoke to "Extra" by satellite in New York. She says making the cover of People's Most Beautiful issue is a step forward.
Halle says, "As a woman of color, I think what may seem frivolous to someone else, means that things are really starting to change."
Halle is also very excited about her new movie, "X-Men 2," which comes out on May 2nd. She says, "The women kick some butt in this movie ... I hope that's what women get out of this movie. It's not just a boy's action movie."
In "X2," Halle is back as Storm. She kind of liked going blonde, but was never allowed to try out her new look in public. She says, "With all the secrecy surrounding ‘X-Men,’ they would never let me out. Never!"
Halle had to miss the premiere of "X2" because she was tied up filming a new movie called "Gothica" with Penelope Cruz and Robert Downey, Jr. Berry says Tom Cruise has not visited the set yet, and that Downey is back on his A-game. She says, "He's great. He's feeling great. He's such a good actor. He's smart and he's well."
So what's next for Berry? She'll follow in Michelle Pfeiffer’s paws, agreeing to play "Catwoman."
