James Perse
James Perse is the king of casual, the man behind those sexy tees and tanks and a darling of style savvy celebs including Angelina Jolie, Elizabeth Hurley, Christina Applegate, and Selma Blair.
"I like to reach everybody with a product nobody can refuse," Perse says of his creations.
Perse is quietly changing weekend wear, designing clothes that are comfortable and stylish at the same time.
He got his start designing baseball caps, while working at his father's trendy Los Angeles fashion store, Maxfield. Then a famous director came calling. He says, "Martin Scorsese's 50th birthday party was my first gig."
Soon he was designing and manufacturing hats and t-shirts for the Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood. Now, with his own factory and label, James is branching out.
