The Ultimate House
A fabulous foyer, cutting edge kitchen, beautiful bathroom, and a surreal swimming pool are all key parts of a dazzling dream home. "Extra" teamed up with the Robb Report's Adele Siegelman, who canvassed the country to build the ultimate home.
She says, "It could be traditional, it could be contemporary, it could be cutting edge."
The most elegant entryway was in beautiful Bel Air, California. This grand staircase has a tri-tiered, 40-foot high regal rotunda, gold inlaid marble floors, and a domed ceiling.
Next, we add on the ultimate master bedroom. It gives new meaning to room with a view. There are motorized glass windows that open up completely, and at night the bedroom is illuminated by the lights and the incredible sights and sounds of Los Angeles.
The bedrooms space age design includes angles everywhere, and a series of windows that look directly into the deep end of the swimming pool.
The ultimate master bathroom is in a New York City apartment. It has dark green Italian marble floor to ceiling rich mahogany cabinets and doors, and is bigger than most people’s living rooms.
Our fantasy "his and hers" kitchens are in this ultra-modern Malibu home. "Hers" is steel and glass, connected by a long galley with sub-zero refrigerators and drawers. "His" is a secondary prep space behind the main area.
No ultimate home would be complete without a fantasy pool. This Beverly Hills backyard looks like a lagoon in a tropical rainforest. It has waterslides, grottos, little secret passageways, and lush beautiful landscaping that is very tropical and very sexy. Four waterfalls spill into the pool, the Jacuzzi, and over the 40-foot waterslide.
From the front door to the backyard and in between, our ultimate home is the sum of many parts, every one of which is simply stunning.
