Giuliani Documentary

A powerful new documentary called "In Memoriam: New York City, 9/11/01" is airing Sunday night on HBO. But even the film's narrator, former mayor Rudy Giuliani, acknowledges, for some people, this in-your-face account of the terror attacks of September 11th may be too difficult to watch.

Giuliani says, “At some point though you have to face the reality of what happened.”

After watching the film Monday night, Giuliani's police commissioner Bernard Keric says HBO has done an honorable job of telling a story that has to be told. He says, “HBO did a tremendous job of putting this together with integrity, honor, with dignity and the same virtue of the people that died on that day.”

At Monday night's screening, “Extra” asked New York based HBO stars Kim Catrall and Lorraine Bracco what they think would be a fitting memorial for the Twin Towers. Kim Catrall said, “I just know, emotionally, for me to see those lights that were lit for that short period of time was just a beautiful memorial and I would love to look out and see that every night.”

Lorraine Bracco agreed, saying, “Well, I did love the lights. I thought the lights shining up were beautiful.”

No doubt, millions of viewers will be affected by "In Memoriam" this Sunday night.
