'Survivor' Finale Preview

After giving his fellow "Survivors" a piece of his mind, school teacher Sean Rector got the tribal torch treatment last night, setting up Sunday’s season finale.

As of this morning, a rapidly changing poll on the official “Survivor” website had Paschal the judge as the front-runner for sole “Survivor,” far ahead of Kathy, Neleh, and Vecepia.

The island of Manhattan is looking more like Marquesas as the stage is literally being set in Central Park for Sunday’s live broadcast. “Survivor” creator Mark Burnett says there is no better time and place to announce the million dollar sole “Survivor.” He says, “Post 9/11, it's the perfect thing to do as a salute to the city. It's the greatest city in the world.”

Burnett says who better than “Survivor's” number one fan, Rosie O’Donnell, to replace Bryant Gumbel as the host of the “Survivor” reunion that follows the final episode. She says, “I think Bryant is a great guy in the morning, but he's not the funniest guy I’ve ever met. So we're going to try to make it a lot funnier and there'll be a lot more surprises than usual.”

Rosie also tells us that she's actually in on one of TV’s biggest secrets. She says, “I can't give anything away, but I know who won. They let me see it and I had to sign my life away. I promised them, like, my eldest child.”

For now, the tribe has spoken. But we'll just have to wait until Sunday to hear who's the sole “Survivor.”
