Reese Witherspoon
Vanity Fair has got a piece of Reese
as the hot young actress snags the cover on the June issue.
Now, the star that colored the world black and white in “Pleasantville,”
drove Matthew Broderick bonkers in “Election,” and gave blonde
ambition a whole new spin in “Legally Blonde,” is sinking
her teeth into a very British role.
In “The Importance of Being Earnest,” Reese is caught in a wildly funny love triangle in the classically British Oscar Wilde tale. She says, “This movie came to me right after I finished ‘Legally Blonde,’ and I thought this is just 180 degrees different."
With British heavyweights such as dame Judi Dench, Colin Firth, and Rupert Everett, this Tennessee girl found herself a wee bit intimidated as the only American in the cast.
Reese was anything but scary at this year’s Oscars, who, along with her actor husband Ryan Philippe, got high marks as one of the best-dressed couples. So what about their seemingly "picture perfect" marriage? She says, “My husband and I work on it everyday. It's not like we're lounging around the pool drinking mai tais all day.”
Seems Reese not only knows the importance of being funny, but the importance of a good family life too.
