'Spider-Man' Breaks Records
"Spider-Man" spun his way into the
Hollywood history books over the weekend, pulling in a record
$114 million in its first three days. And since it cost only
$139 million to make, it won't be long before Spidey and company
start counting their net profits.
And faster than you can say "Spider-Man
2," Spidey fans are talking sequels. Maybe the original
spider man creator, Stan Lee, can tell us what to expect. He
says, "Actually, I don't know. I have to talk to Laura
Ziskin and see how she's going to do it."
Well, we caught up with “Spider-Man” producer Laura Ziskin Monday morning to see what magic she's weaving for “Spider-Man 2.” Ziskin confirms that Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will be back, along with director Sam Raimi.
As for villains, word is Spidey will take on Dr. Octopus and
The Lizard in the sequel. Tobey tells “Extra” that he wants
to shoot another movie before “Spider-Man 2,” but he's ready
to get his action figure back into shape. He says, "I'm
actually looking forward to it. It's a lot of work, but it's
a lot of fun."
